We know that excellent teaching has the greatest impact on pupil progress. But we also know that students only progress if they are engaged in their learning. VR can help with this; bring learning to life and set the scene for your scheme of work. Learning about volcanoes in Geography? Take your students to see a Supervolcano in Yellowstone National Park. Studying WW1 in History? Immerse yourself in the trenches. Trying to improve descriptive writing? Drop your class into the middle of Borneo rainforest.
For VR to have a meaningful impact, it should be planned alongside the requirements of the national curriculum and embedded into your scheme of work. VR can be successfully incorporated into any area of the curriculum. See below for some subject specific examples.
Virtual reality has the power to transport pupils around the world without ever leaving the classroom! VR is incredibly popular across education but the cost of purchasing your own class set is restricting schools from accessing it. At PrimeVR, we are providing affordable and exciting workshops across Bristol, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall and the rest of the South West. Workshops start from £1.99 per pupil and include all the equipment and resources you’ll need.
Not only do we provide all the VR equipment you’ll need but we also provide a PrimeVR associate who will set up the equipment and take your class through the whole experience. Therefore, you won’t need to worry about delivering the workshops or the equipment not working.
Since starting in September 2017, we’ve been into over 50 schools across the South West including Bristol, Plymouth, Newquay, Portsmouth, Gloucester, Bath, Exeter and Bournemouth. Our VR workshops take place at your school and start from 10am and run until 3pm. During this time, we usually run a minimum of four workshops and a maximum of eight.

Stuart started PrimeVR in 2017 after working on the Google Expeditions Pioneer Programme. Over eight months, Stuart visited a number of areas across the South West, including Bristol, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. All of the schools Stuart visited across the South West loved using VR in the classroom and as a result he setup PrimeVR.
Stuart has worked with over 50,000 pupils across the country over the past few years and he continues to use his teaching experience to ensure pupils learn and gain from the VR experience.
